About

Heimdalsheia in Nissedal has become a mecca for mountain bike enthusiasts. Hundreds of meters of footbrigdes and two suspension bridges were purposely built to create a network of paths between Gautefall and Heimdal. The footbridges ensure that the paths do not become to wide and entrude the landscape.

Parts of the routes are marked with small cairns. You can also scan in QR-codes from signs at starting points at Gautefall, Felehove or Heimdal. These codes will give you information of the routes, GPS-coordinates ans a description of the area. With a map and more information downloaded to your telephone, safety for those who cycle has never been better.
