If you love boat cruises then look no further - Telemark is the perfect place for you! You won’t be disappointed with the wide range of boat experiences: from ferries that will take you island hopping in the archipelago to canal boats on the charming Telemark Canal.

The beautiful coastline stretches from the fjord in Langangen to the archipelago in Kragerø, which offers thousands of small and larger islands with a rich culture. You can go island hopping in the summer season with the Fjordboats and Skjæløy II from Brevik to Langesund. You can travel to Jomfruland national park with the Fjordboats from Kragerø.

The beautiful Telemark Canal combines the coast and inland through the 8 lock systems in the 105 kilometer long canal. You can enjoy the calm journey aboard one of the historical canal boats M/S Henrik Ibsen, M/S Victoria or M/S Telemarken, whilst the veteran boat M/S Fram will take you to Northern Europe’s most elevated locks at Nisser and Vråvatn.

Maybe you prefer a mountain scenery? How about taking a trip on lake Tinnsjøen with D/F Ammonia and M/F Storegut and experience Norway’s industrial history? Or maybe you’d like to try the M/B Fjellvåken which will take you on a splendid tour on Møsvatn from Skinnarbu to Mogen’s tourist cabin at the feet of Hardangervidda. The choice is yours!
