Gaustatoppen Sportell is a newly opened and state-of-the-art accommodation at Hovdestaul and the closest accommodation to Mount Gausta.
Hovdestaul is the first area you arrive at when driving from Rjukan up the mountain side to Gausta and is an excellent starting point for all activities in the area.
Gaustatoppen Sportell is only a few 100 meters away from both alpine resorts and cross-country tracks, and with an unbeatable view of Mount Gausta.
In the summer season, there are many marked hiking trails in the area and a short distance to fishing lakes, and of course Mount Gausta.
Gaustatoppen Sportell has its own restaurant, Restaurant Hovdestaul, as well as its own ski rental, Gaustatoppen Skiutleie.
