The Notodden Blues Festival makes dreams come true when the iconic rock band Deep Purple visits the festival on Friday, August 2, 2024. The legendary band has been a frontrunner since their breakthrough in 1970, and songs like "Smoke on the Water," "Highway Star," and "Black Night" have been the soundtrack for many aspiring guitarists and music lovers.
In 2021, Deep Purple surprised everyone by returning to their roots and releasing the blues album "Turning to Crime." On what is currently their latest album, they play through blues tracks such as "Let The Good Times Roll," "Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu," and Fleetwood Mac's timeless classic "Oh Well."
