Whether you are looking to hike, bike, go out on ski trips in the norwegian mountains or looking for climbing experiences - Gygra has a guide ready for you!

Gygra also offers courses within mountain sports and are certified in the Norwegian Mountain Sport Association (NF). Gygra offers guides packing a lot of knowledge and burning with passion for their profession.

Skiing
Gygra guides can provide guided ski touring in Norway. Basically, they operate in Rauland, Rjukan and Haukelifjell in Telemark.
Gygra also offer guided tours other places in Norway, and provide safety equipment with instruction on how to use it.
We also do different avalanche courses, both for the experienced and the novice. The typical skiing season is from December until the end of May.

Climbing

Biking
Mountain biking, gravel bike, cultural and historical trip on two wheels?
If you are interested in a two day tour in the county of Telemark on a mountain bike, we have a nice tour with overnight stay in an old authentic hotel called Nutheim. The tour stretches over 90 kilometers deep inside Telemark and ends with a boat trip on the famous Telemarkskanalen leading up to Dalen. Here you can sleep in the fairy tale hotel, Dalen Hotel. If you do not have the proper bike you can rent one from us, we transport your luggage and make sure you return to the starting point.

Gygra also offer guided tours on single track bikes and we offer a nice historic tour between the UNESCO towns Rjukan and Notodden. This tour suites everyone since we use electric bikes for this trip.

Fatbike cycling
Gygra offers 1-2 hours fatbike cycling in winter with a guide and bicycle rental.

Hiking 
Gygra can also help you to explore the Norwegian mountains by hiking.

They offer a guided tour each tuesday and sunday in Rjukan in the path of the Norwgian Heavy Water sabotage during world war 2nd. Book through Visit Rjukan.

Rental of electric bicycles
For a period ahead, you can rent good quality mountain bikes from Trek or Merida. The bikes have a damper fork at the front. Bicycles must be picked up and delivered in Øyfjell in Vinje. Discount when renting several bicycles at the same time. If you want to rent a fully damped electric bike, it is also possible. 
Helmet is required and can be borrowed or bought from Gygra at a very good price. Gygra can also deliver sets of up to 10 electric bikes for groups. Gygra delivers and picks up at agreed place. Contact Gygra for price.
