The Villmarksrunden was officially opened by Nome stisykkel (Nome Trail Cycling) on May 20, 2022, and is a project proudly driven by volunteer commitment.
The route is a collaboration between Nome stisykkel and the Høidalen, Sætre and Åsland Cultural-Historical Association.
