Exhibitions of many kinds are held all over the county during the summer season; paintings, sculptures, pottery, folk art and much more are on display and for sale.

The world famous painter Edvard Much lived in Kragerø for several years, and he found inspiration to some of his famous works here. You can join a Munch walk in Kragerø in the summer season.

At Venstøp outside Skien you can visit the childhood home of the famous writer Henrik Ibsen. See the dark attic where Ibsen got inspiration to write the «The Wild Duck».

Did you know that the cabin where Sondre Norheim lived is still found in the valley close to the Norwegian Ski Museum at Morgedal? You can hike from the museum up to the cabin and experience the view of the hills where Sondre founded modern skiing.

At the porcelain factory Porsgrund Porselænsfabrik in Porsgrunn you can still admire the special straw pattern painting. Exhibitions and outlet in the premises. This year a brand new interactive museum will be opened.
