Universal access trails

Everyone on the go!  

Staying active and exercising regularly are key components to maintaining good physical health. It is important that local communities welcomes everyone, regardless of their level of functioning, to take part in the pleasures of accessing the outdoors  

Universal design = Equal opportunities 

The main goal of universal design is to remove or reduce barriers that hinder social participation. In Telemark we focus on universal design, and the value basis of our work is equality and equal opportunities for community participation, at all levels - also outdoor life.  

Some of the trails in WalkTelemark are fully or partially universally accessible. Partially accessible means that it is possible to hike with a stroller and electric or manual wheelchair, albeit the latter with a helper.
