Skorve

Skorve is one of the highest mountains in Seljord, with two peaks: Mount Gøysen and Mount Nordnibba. During WWII two planes crashed into the mountain.

At Bjørgefjell you can choose from different paths through the cultural landscape with idyllic spots where you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Seljordsvatnet.
Hanakamjuvet - Seljord

Easy round trip that is great to walk with children. Along the way, you can experience waterfalls, historical sites, gorges, and good viewpoints.

Seljord is surrounded by high mountains and beautiful nature. But the village is best known for the legendary sea serpent that people for more than 250 years claim to have seen in Lake Seljordsvatnet!

There are many opportunities for hiking in Seljord, both along the lake, in the forest and in the mountains. We recommend a walk between some of the "looking cupboards". These are stone sculptures that are linked to stories of local women throughout history.

Since Seljord is surrounded by high mountains, this is a great starting point for summittrips with magnificent views! We recommend that you discover Seljord by foot, but pay the tourist information office at Telesenteret a visit first! Not all hiking trails in Seljord are well marked, so a map is both recommended and necessary to bring along if ypu want to go hiking in the mountains.

In the summer there is a lot going on in Seljord with both festivals and events at Dyrskuplassen, and a buzzing life at the beaches along Lake Seljordsvatnet.

Galleri Nutheim

Gallery Nutheim was opened in 1978. The Gallery exhibits art by local artists. Nutheim Guest House accommodates bus groups and other groups for meals and a look through the art gallery.
Vieving stone, Glima i Rupedalar

Vieving stones. Eight different sculptured "vieving stones" have been placed in to the landscape, on locations related to tales of local female figures. Gonil Dale, Guro Lommodden, Kivlemøyane, Guro heddeli, Tårån i troppin, Glima i Rupedalar, Ljose-Signe i Bindingsnuten and Skuldalsbruri. each of these women has fiddle music named after them.
