The surrounding nature provides a calm and energy that makes the experiences extra memorable.
This is a child-friendly location where both young and old find peace and joy. Play areas, exciting buildings, nature, and the old classroom from the school days make the visit both fun and educational.
When darkness falls, you get to experience something truly special – a sea of stars, and on clear nights, the dancing Northern Lights across the sky. The silence here is total, and you truly feel how peaceful it is.
The journey here is part of the experience! In summer, you simply park at Varland parking lot, where you will be picked up by a boat taxi that takes you across to the island – a five-minute, beautiful boat ride through the stillness of Møsvatn. In winter, you can either ski (2.5 km) across the ice or book a snowmobile taxi – a wonderful trip of about 15 minutes through the winter landscape.
