The cabin has been lovingly restored by a group of pensioners from Austad/Kiste and is currently operated by a local association. • Restoration: The cabin represents a fantastic example of local engagement, restored to preserve an authentic environment from the history of Siljan.
• Interior: The room has an intimate and warm atmosphere. You will find photo montages that bring to life important 20th-century history from Siljan, including timber floating and the social organization within forestry and agriculture.
• Cabin Rental: Damstua can be rented by interested parties and is excellent for smaller groups.
• Capacity: Comfortably accommodates up to 15-16 people. Ideal for board meetings, private celebrations, or intimate courses.

Access and parking

• Access: Turn off towards Kvelde from Riksvei 32. Follow the road down towards Kvelde. After approx. 5 km, past Siljanhjort, turn left.
• Parking: A dedicated parking space for visitors has been prepared at Damstua.
