Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for two or a small adventure with the family, you will find peace and quiet with us. Explore the trails by bike, try your luck at fishing, or head out onto the water in a canoe.

Our Domes

We have two unique domes, run with love by the Kiste family:

• Alfhild: Perfect for couples or small families. Furnished with a comfortable double bed, two chairs, and a wooden sofa (room for 1 child). Heated by a wood-burning stove and an infrared heater.
• Arne: Our cosiest dome featuring a green sofa and a blue double bed. The sofa can be converted into an extra double bed. Heated by a wood-burning stove and an efficient diesel heater that retains warmth exceptionally well.

What You Will Find Here

• Wood-fired sauna: Located between the domes and available to all our guests.
• Water activities: Free use of canoes and great fishing opportunities.
• Warm duvets, extra wool blankets, and bed linen are provided (self-service).
• Facilities: Parking on the marked field right next to the domes. A clean and nice outdoor toilet is located in the green shed by the parking area (see map for shower and toilet directions).

Packing Tips

Remember that the domes are luxury tents! When it is cold outside, it will be chilly inside before you light the fire. Pack indoor shoes/slippers, good wool socks, a warm sweater, and preferably a down jacket. On sunny days, it gets nice and warm. The cabin down by the water is private.

Escape everyday life and explore the local area:

• Mountain Hikes & Nature Experiences: Hike up Mælakollen, Vestre Vealøs, Blåfjell (between Skien and Siljan), Ramsås, Vindfjell, Kistekollen, or experience the smooth, glaciated rock hill Skriua.
• Family Fun: Short distance to Høyt og Lavt Climbing Park.
• Local Food & Experiences: Visit Nordbø Farm Shop, scenic Auen Herb Garden (open during summer), or see the deer at Siljan Deer Farm.
• Shopping Tips: Pop by Steinsholt Minimarket for everything from local honey to hand-knitted socks. Groceries can be bought at Rema 1000 in Siljan.
• Fishing Permits & Fuel: Can be purchased at Autoen / YX Service Station.
