Trond Granlund has been part of the Norwegian music scene for more than five decades. He made his recording debut in 1973 and received his first Spellemann nomination as early as 1980. The following year, he won the Spellemann Award in the pop category for "Pleasant Surprise".
And perhaps even more remarkably: 45 years after his first nomination, he was once again nominated for a Spellemann Award in 2025. In recent years, he has received nominations in several different categories—a clear indication of an artist who has constantly evolved and remains relevant.
