Norrøna Ice Festival 2027

About

Welcome to our ice climbing festival in Rjukan and at Norrøna House, Norway, held in partnership with Petzl. Experience unique ice climbing in Rjukan, a speed climbing competition, product testing, presentations, social dinners, and much more. Participants will be divided into groups, so everyone from beginners to highly experienced climbers is welcome.

When: February 11–14, 2027

Whether you have never tried ice climbing before and want to learn the basics, have some experience and wish to improve your technique, or are an experienced ice climber looking to tackle new routes, our clinics—led by Norrøna ambassadors—will be tailored to various skill levels.

Covering everything from ice climbing introductions and technique to advanced climbing and multi-pitch, the festival offers you the chance to learn, grow, and experience more of what Rjukan has to offer.

We offer various packages:

All-inclusive: Thursday–Sunday
Includes Thursday at Norrøna House with a 3-course dinner, hotel accommodation in Rjukan, all clinics, all meals, transport, a goodie bag, product testing, and evening programming.
*Hotel in Oslo not included but can be added.

Rjukan only: Friday–Sunday
Includes only the program in Rjukan from Friday to Sunday.
Everything included except transport, accommodation, and breakfast.

This 4-day festival kicks off at Norrøna House in Lysaker, Oslo. You will have the opportunity to join an indoor climbing session at Gneis or climb local icefalls near Norrøna House before enjoying a delicious 3-course dinner at Naturen Restaurant. The festival then continues in Rjukan, where you can participate in various ice climbing and ski touring courses, a speed climbing competition, social gatherings, dinners, and much more. Throughout the long weekend, you will have the chance to test products from Norrøna, Scarpa, and Petzl, and enjoy inspiring presentations and tech talks from our ambassadors.
