We present a varied cross-country ski offering in Skien and Grenland, perfect for everyone from the smallest children to experienced skiers. The area, which includes the popular Viddaseter, is known as a popular ski area for the entire Grenland region.

Tuddalskulten Floodlit Trail: Child-Friendly and Easily Accessible

This is the ideal floodlit trail for children and families on easy terrain.

• Length and Terrain: 3 km on easy, child-friendly terrain.
• Main Start and Parking: The trail starts and has parking by the water tower (at the end of Industrivegen).
• Alternative Start: You can also start at Midtbygda School, but be aware that this alternative includes steep hills leading up to Tuddalskulten.

Serkelandsvegen: Family-Friendly and Quiet

A great, family-friendly ski trail suitable for a leisurely trip.

• Starting Point: Starts at Midtbygda School.
• Length and Structure: 3 km long. This is an out-and-back trail (not a loop), so you must return the same way.
• Terrain: Considered family-friendly, but includes some long, gentle slopes that provide good exercise.

Solvikaløypa: To Venstøptjern and Gjerpen

Solvikaløypa is the starting point for a longer trip in Skien municipality with connections to the floodlit trail network.

• Start: Starts at the parking lot.
• Route: Follows the Floodlit Trail for approximately 1 km before branching off towards Venstøptjern (about 9 km total from the start).
• Connection: The trail can continue to Gjerpen School, given adequate snow conditions.
• Floodlit Connection: There is also a separate floodlit trail from Solvika to the alpine center (about 3 km in undulating terrain), which continues to Venstøpstjern.
