About

The hotel, which is located on the "sunny side of Mount Gausta", was originally built as a sanatorium for wealthy townspeople who sought to get out of the unhealthy city air to gain new strength in beautiful nature and fresh mountain air. Today, the hotel is owned and operated by Malin and Einar Gurholt.

Rooms with soul and modern facilities
All the rooms at Tuddal Høyfjellshotell have been newly renovated, and the old style and soul have been carefully preserved. Each room has its own original and original style.

Apart from the main building, there is an annex in the yard with 3 bedrooms. The rooms here are slightly larger than in the main building with room for a small family. You can also bring your dog here. The cabin Haugestul has been newly restored and gently refurbished. Here it is authentic!

Exquisite meals made from the best locally sourced produce
Meals and hospitality are in focus when you visit Tuddal. You can enjoy the hotel's four-course dinner with exquisite drinks from its own cellar or brewery. Remember to book a table!

Gildehallen, meeting place and café
The Gildehallen is close to the hotel and is a popular gathering place after a trip out in the fresh air. You do not have to be a hotel guest to use the Gildehallen. Here you will be served the hotel's best lunch dishes and since the brewery is located in the basement of the same building, you will find a rich selection of unique products.

The hotel's own bakery and general store
Tuddal Høyfjellshotell has its own bakery where the hotel's popular flatbread and shortbread are produced. Here you can take part in a baking course and get an insight into traditional craftsmanship.

The grocery store “Landhandleren” has a selection of local food and drink from the hotels own production, as well as from other selected suppliers. Here you will find good gift ideas and products that you can take home.

Activities at the hotel and in the area
The hotel offers its guests various activities such as flatbread baking or a beer quiz. If you want something more relaxing, you can enjoy the sauna or the wood-fired hot tub.

The area around the hotel offers great hiking and mountain biking opportunities in summer and autumn, as well as cross-country skiing trails in winter.

You can also try your luck at fishing in one of the many fishing lakes or take a trip to the top of Mount Gausta.
