Morgedal Camping is a small and tranquil campsite beautifully located by the lake Morgedalstjønni (Morgedal Lake) in the charming village of Morgedal, Telemark. This area is known as the birthplace of modern skiing, offering a scenic and relaxing setting for your stay.
The campsite offers a total of 55 pitches, with 35 equipped with electricity and 20 without. Whether you arrive with a motorhome, caravan, or tent, you’ll find a suitable spot to settle in.
All guests have access to a newly renovated and welcoming service building featuring toilets, showers, a washing machine, and water. There are also cooking facilities, a barbecue, and several picnic benches on a wooden deck—ideal for outdoor meals and gatherings.
Check-in is quick and easy: book online in advance, then choose your own pitch upon arrival.
While Morgedal Camping does not have its own restaurant, it’s located just 1 km from both Morgedal Spa & Resort and the Museum Café at the Ski Museum.

À la carte dinner: 18:00–21:00 (until 20:00 during the winter season)

As a guest, you are welcome to borrow a kayak, rowboat, or fishing rod. Try your luck fishing or enjoy a swim—there’s a charming swimming area at the campsite, and another one just 500 meters away at Morgheim.
Morgedal is a great starting point for hiking, cycling, and skiing in winter. The area offers several dining options, the Morgedal Ski Museum, and is just a 30-minute drive from the scenic Telemark Canal and Vest-Telemark Museum in Eidsborg.
Only 1 km from the campsite, Morgedal Spa & Resort features a newly refurbished wellness area with a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, cold plunge pool, sauna, lounge, and fitness room.
You can also book a variety of relaxing treatments.
Morgedal Camping is peacefully located at the end of Morgedalstjønni, just 1 km from Morgedal village center. It is easily accessible from the E134 highway via the north or south exit—both just about 1 km from the campsite.
