2.4 kmWelcome to Hamaren Activity park!
Here in Hamaren we offer many different activities, and hope as many as possible use the outdoor park we have here.
Wheelchair accesible hiking
The accesible hiking trail starts near Cafe Teisnar and Fyresdal Næringshage, right near the church in the center of Fyresdal. The trail continues next to the lake, past Munkhola, before you get to a wooden bridge constructed like a piece of lumber to reminisce the lumber transport times in Fyresdal. The hike itself offers many beautiful views and different passages if you would like to vary your route. Along the hike you'll find tables and outdoor benches to take a short rest.
The entire hike is wheelchair accesible and is suited for all users.
Total length: 2.4 kilometres.
Terrain: Easy
Time spent: 45 minutes
The passages that are often used are marked on the map and will have direction signs along the hike.
Resting spots
There are many places along the hike where you'll be able to take a short rest. Enjoy your own brought lunch or create your own in our cabin for grilling. Keys to the cabin you can borrow and pick up at the central desk of Fyresdal municipality. You can also use the campfire spot at the top, Klokkarhamaren. Remember to bring wood with you.
Cycling possibilities
In the middle of Hamaren lies a beautiful cycling route build by Bike Solutions from France. The track is marked and it is essential that everyone follows the signs along the track. This track is suited for everyone and is rated as a blue track. There is a red track that is accesible from the blue track. This is suited for those who wants a little bit more excitement in their cycling experience. The track is build by students from Gimle school under supervision of the people at Bike Solutions.
Learn more through our nature trail
Here in the activity park it is possible to learn more about the local fauna, history and fairytales through our signs alongside this trail. These signs are meant for small children, but everyone could learn something they didn't know before from these signs. The placements of these signs are where they fit well for the theme they are depicting about.
