Welcome to the sales exhibition at Kragerø Kunstforening, P. A. Heuchs gate 6.
Opening reception: Thursday, June 25 at 12:00 PM
MYNDIN NERDRUM (b. 1999) is a classical figurative painter.
Nerdrum held her first exhibition in March 2023, where she sold out the entire collection of paintings and prints. In April 2025, her first solo exhibition, “You Wished Me Well”, followed at Galleri Soon, featuring paintings, prints, and drawings. That same summer, she participated in the group exhibition “Bites Back” at Rekefabrikken, where she sold artworks and created commissioned portraits.
Nerdrum has a distinctive approach to the classical figurative tradition, placing emotion at the center of her work, with an expression that is both raw and honest. She mainly works with charcoal and oil, experimenting with a variety of tools and techniques.
Her works portray an inner journey rooted in longing, desire, and love. Many of the motifs emerge from literary references and universal themes such as childhood, upbringing, self-realization, and finding one’s place in the world.
She has participated in several portrait competitions organized by the online magazine Sivilisasjonen, where she has won two awards.
We warmly welcome her to Kragerø Kunstforening and encourage our audience to experience her work with curiosity and interest.
