Børsesjø and its new bird tower (fugleamfi) is an easily accessible nature area with an exceptionally rich birdlife. The area in Skien is known as one of Norway's best birdwatching locations, offering fascinating moments for everyone, whether you are a beginner or an experienced ornithologist.
The Børsesjø bird amphitheater is open to the public and is especially popular during the migration periods (spring and autumn). This is when the chance is highest to experience the teeming birdlife up close, from small sparrows to hunting ospreys. More than 230 bird species have been observed in the reserve.
