• Skien Fritidspark: This is an excellent and well-equipped starting point with plenty of parking. From the Fritidspark, you can follow the toll road to Dansesletta, where you'll find a trail and illuminated path that continues towards Jomfrudammen. Several trail options continue from here up towards Hvitsteintjernet.
• Between Rødmyr and Geiteryggen: Many hikers also choose to start their trip from the road connecting Rødmyr and Geiteryggen.
