Vealøs is a popular trim and tour peak in Skien. Here you can look all the way to the fjords in Grenland and far into the mountain of Telemark.
Vealøs is located east in Skien municipality. There are many paths to the top, and the most common starting points for trips are from Lensmannsseter, Veimyra at Kikut and Solvika at Heivannet in Siljan. Most of the trails are on the south and west sides of the area. The area has two peaks, Østre Vealøs, 446 meters above sea level, and Vestre Vealøs which is 500 meters above sea level.
It is well signposted from the parking spaces. From the parkingplace there are approx. 3 km one way.
At Vestre Vealøs, a communication tower was built in 1969. The tower is a hallmark in Grenland. Every Christmas, the tower is decorated with light as as a Christmas tree.
