Along the new E18 route, by the industrial area southeast of the road, an exciting, new geolocation appeared.
Here you can see the very first sandy beach, a result of the sea washing up on the dilapidated landscape - about 480 million years ago.
Right on the old bedrock, a coarse sand was deposited, which was eventually "glued" together into sandstone and conglomerate. At Rugtvedt, the "beach" can be seen in three dimensions!
