Welcome to a walk through Henrik Ibsen’s childhood town, Skien.
Would you like to see what Skien looked like when Henrik Ibsen was born and learn how he spent his early years here? Join the Ibsen Walk "In Ibsen’s Footsteps", where you'll discover where little Henrik lived, went to school, and get a glimpse into his life in Skien.
The guided tour takes about 45 minutes. It starts at the Ibsen Cottage in Brekkeparken and continues down the "Ibsen Steps" to the Ibsen bust at Sorrento Square in Snipetorpgata and into the city. If you’re unable to use stairs, you can join the group at Sorrento Square.
