Kjølnesbadet is Porsgrunn's modern, state-of-the-art swimming hall, opened in January 2020. The facility is designed to accommodate fitness swimmers, swim clubs, and families with children alike.

Main Pool and Special Features

• Pool Size: The main pool measures 25 x 25 meters and features a total of 10 swimming lanes.
• Temperature: The pool ordinarily maintains a comfortable temperature of 28 Grad C.
• Adjustable Depth Floor: The hall boasts a unique and flexible feature with an adjustable depth floor (hev/senkbar bunn) in two zones, making the pool adaptable for various activities and water depths.

Practical Facilities and Rules

• Showering routine: Kjølnesbadet has shared showers. All guests must shower with their swimwear on before entering the pool area, for hygiene reasons.
• For babies and toddlers: Babies, toddlers, and others who require a diaper must always wear a swim diaper and approved swim pants in the pool. These are available for purchase at the kiosk in the hall.
• Closing time: All guests must exit the pool at least 15 minutes before closing time.

Kiosk and refreshments

In the lobby of Kjølnesbadet, there is an open kiosk during the hall's opening hours. The kiosk sells hot and cold drinks, as well as various snack items.

Important: Food and drinks are not allowed inside the pool area itself, but there is a pleasant seating area in the foyer for consumption.
