Welcome to Ibsenbyen Skien! The great and well-known author had his upbringing in Skien before heading to Grimstad.
In Skien there are Ibsen experiences in different arenas. Theater Ibsen regularly plays dramas of Ibsen's works, Henrik Ibsen Museum is open from 1 May to 31 August and here you can visit his childhood home. New in 2019 is Henrik Ibsen Escape, which is played in the period May 1st to last weekend in September!
Ibsenuka has many events every year in March, and the birthday of Henrik Ibsen is celebrated in the Ibsenhuset every year on March 20.
Lerkefugl Productions had their first set in 2019. Then they played Peer at the Pub. This was a success and we are waiting for more exciting about Ibsen from Lerkefugl in 2020.
