Sagasauna is a sauna located by lake Hjartsåvatnet in Hjartdal, at Presteodden rest area, with a fantastic view overlooking Hjartsjåvatnet. The sauna is situated on the old Sawmill site.
Opening hours and parking
The sauna is currently open on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 to 21:00, subject to change. See booking on sagasauna.no for more information. A code box is available at the sauna entrance, with the code sent upon booking. There are ample parking spaces on both sides of E134.
Sauna and sauna rules
The sauna is partially accessible for wheelchair users. Two small changing rooms and a fire extinguisher are available in the sauna.
Sauna rules:
- Be clean before entering, as there are no showers available.
- Show respect to other guests.
- Bring a towel to sit on, and bathing shoes are recommended.
- Bring water for drinking, swimwear, and a towel.
- No food is allowed inside the sauna.
- All sauna usage and swimming in Hjartsjåvatnet is at your own risk.
- Clean the floor with water after use.
- Excessive dirt will incur a fee.
- Users are responsible for replacing any damaged items.
- Clean the sauna and leave and lock the door well before the reservation time ends.

Large Shelter
There is also a large shelter with grill facilities for free use on the premises, where you can relax, fish from the shore, etc. The shelter can accommodate 25-30 people and can be rented for birthdays and other events, but this must be arranged with the association's contact person.
