In the spring of 2026, the road between Eidsborg and Dalen will be closed for six weeks due to roadworks. The café will therefore have a reduced offering in May, mainly coffee and cakes.
To experience the rich cultural heritage and traditions of West-Telemark, Vest-Telemark Museum Eidsborg is an excellent place to start.
The museum consists of a collection of more than 30 buildings, an open air museum with one of Norway’s oldest pagan wooden buildings, the famous Eidsborg stave church dated back to the 12th century and a new, modern museum building with several exhibitions.
Our cafe is open every day in the season. The rest of the year we are open for booking. The cafe serves both traditional and international dishes, all made in our kitchen.
There are several marked foot paths with West Telemark Museum Eidsborg as starting point.
There are many blockhouse constructions among the buildings at the museum, a building technique still in use.
