«Eidsborgbryne - Kontroll og råderett over utmarksressurser i mellomalder og nytid» er tredje boka om brynesteinshistoria i Eidsborg, og fjerde utgjeving i bokserien Vikingvegen.
Artikkelsamlinga er eit resultat av det tredje Eidsborgseminaret og presenterer ny kunnskap om utmarksressursane i vikingtida og mellomalderen frå Øvre Telemark. Dette er historia om omfattande handel og etablerte nettverk, om maktstrukturar og maktkamp, om sentrum og periferi, om grunnleggande råvarer og etablerte merkevarer.
Frå Øvre Telemark gjekk varer som brynestein, jarn, tjøre, huder, skinn og horn – og til og med eksklusive jaktfalkar – inn i ein avansert handel over store avstandar og med høg risiko. Me tek også steget inn på 1700-talet og vert kjende med Christian von Koss, som med stor kraft gjekk inn i handelen med eidsborgbryne og til slutt kontrollerte det heile.
