Start and facilities

Starting Point: The tour starts and ends in Treungen town center.

Facilities: Near the municipal building (kommunehuset), you will find parking, public restrooms, playground equipment, and barbecue facilities. This is an ideal starting point for families.

Exciting Stopovers on the Tour

Make your trip extra memorable by including these unique attractions:

1. Z-Museum: A unique museum in Telemark that takes you through various eras. The museum features an impressive collection of veteran cars, motorcycles, maps, telephones, and historical artifacts from hair salons and dentist offices. A fascinating journey through time for the whole family!
2. Skuggenatten: The cycle route passes the trailhead to this iconic mountain peak (706 meters above sea level). From the top, you get spectacular views over Nisser lake and Treungen. Tip: If you want to combine the bike ride with a great summit hike, you can park your bike at the bottom of the hill and walk to the top.
3. Sommarsletta (Summer Meadow): An idyllic green area by the water, perfect for a break. Here you get a great view of the iconic Tveitsund Bridge. In the warm months and during the Treungen Festival, this area is buzzing with activity. There is a nice swimming beach for a refreshing dip.

Finish in the Town Center

Rest Area in the Center: After your bike tour, you can finish with food, play, and socializing. Here you will find a water trampoline, ping-pong tables, hammocks, and barbecue facilities.

Safety Note: Use of the water trampoline is at your own risk. It is strongly recommended to use a life vest if you are not an experienced swimmer.
