The hike over Stærte follows an old farm track from Siljan to Prestegårdseter.
Description of hike
The hike starts from Snurråsen bus stop/the parking area by Siljan church. Walk into the village and take the first road to the right. Once you’ve passed Roligheten farm, turn right on to the tractor road and follow it round. At the intersection, turn left and follow the footpath up to Askedalen, continue past Langedalsstua and then over to Stærte. The terrain is initially rugged, then continues at the lower edge of Storeskarv and to Prestegto årdseter.
Access
Take county road 32 between Skien and Siljan. Turn left towards Siljan church and park by the church. You can also take local bus P7 to Snurråsen bus stop.
