The river Siljanelva, part of the Siljan water system, flows through the area and is famoous as an exellent river for canoeing. And if fishing is more your thing, there are around 80 good places to fish.
Places to visit in Siljan include a village castle dating from the age of migration, coal bunkers and remains of 18 th-century ironworks, deer farm and a herb garden.
