The Bamble coast has been popular with diving enthusiasts for over 50 years, and today both Gremnar and Grenland diving clubs use it as their base. There are many reasons for the area’s popularity, but easy access and the variety of the underwater life are perhaps the two main factors. The best diving sites are a short boat trip from Stathelle, Langesund, Brevikstrand or Valle. The centre of Stathelle, Stoa in Langesund and the campsite at Brevikstrand all have boat slips for people who bring their boat on a trailer.
