Kåfjellåsen is home to Norway’s first official Rainbow Trail, opened in June 2021 by Notodden og Hjartdal Turlag (part of The Norwegian Trekking Association).
This unique trail celebrates diversity, inclusion, and community. It symbolizes that nature welcomes everyone — no matter your background, age, religion, identity, or ability level.
Just like a rainbow brings light and hope after the rain, the trail serves as a reminder that everyone belongs and deserves to be accepted as they are. These values are deeply rooted in Norwegian outdoor culture and in the work of DNT.
