Øyne Camping is beautifully situated at the southern end of Fyresvatn. The site is divided into zones for long-term rental, known as the "white area" and the "red area," which are built on terraces. We have separate areas for shorter stays - the entire beach area is designated for this purpose, so it's a short walk to the waterfront. Additionally, we have a couple of smaller single spots for those who prefer a bit of seclusion.
Social meeting place
At Øyne Camping, you'll find a designated "meeting place" where a platform with a roof allows you to enjoy the days even if the weather isn't at its best. During the summer, this platform is frequently used, and we often light the grill for communal gatherings. The meeting place is open to everyone - feel free to use it. There are also some spots available for motorhomes, caravans, and tents.
Activities at the campsite
At Øyne Camping, you can enjoy beautiful scenery and exciting activities. Øynuten round trip and summit hike, swimming, fishing, and even frisbee golf are just some of the experiences and activities the campsite offers.
Take a boat trip on Fyresvatn
For those seeking a more relaxed day, a boat trip on the lovely Fyresvatn is recommended. The water stretches from the campsite in Kilegrend all the way up to Fyresdal center, and along the way, you'll discover fantastic beaches and rocky outcrops worth exploring.
Great viewpoints along the road to Fyresdal
If you choose to take a car trip to Fyresdal center, be sure to take the time to stop at some of the spectacular viewpoints. Here, you can admire majestic mountain slopes and enjoy the fantastic views
