About

Fyresdal Gjestehus, run by the couple Magne and Hege, is more than just a place to stay; it is a living piece of local history. Built in 1887 right in the cozy Folkestadbyen village center, the house has hosted everything from a telephone exchange to a lodging house where a straw bed could once be rented for 10 øre! Feel the history in the walls and let Magne and Hege share the stories with you. Enjoy the lovely, sunny backyard which gives a feeling of being much further south.
