Winter activities with and without skis

 With its beautiful nature and fantastic mountain areas, Telemark offers many winter activities and experiences. Here you can walk for miles on prepared ski tracks both in the forest and on the mountain plateaus, or you can go up your own tracks. You will find all levels on the ski slopes, everything from child-friendly slopes to the more challenging ski slopes.

Telemark boasts many ski centres, and here you will find everything from many kilometers of prepared alpine slopes, children's areas, ski schools, terrain parks, toboggan runs and great off-piste opportunities. Here you can choose alpine slopes according to your level. Six ski centers have joined forces and through the collaboration Telemark Superski, you get access to these ski centers if you buy a lift pass at one place.

Gaustatoppen with its 1883 meters is a popular peak for off-piste driving. But remember that you drive at your own risk, so be careful!

An exciting, challenging and not least fun winter activity is snowshoeing. When you go on snowshoes, you go off the beaten track and discover nature on your own. In Vrådal you can go on marked trails of various lengths and degrees of difficulty. Gautefall Event in Drangedal takes you on a guided tour in untouched nature and serves campfire coffee along the way. In addition, they offer both snowmobile safaris, snowbobs, sleigh rides and skiing activities.

Bring the whole family to the skating rink in Skien leisure park. The park has a large outdoor skating rink of 12,000 m2. Here you experience quality time with the family, while having a lot of fun. The park rents skates of all sizes. The leisure park also has a curling rink, so here you can take your group of friends or colleagues on a fun challenge with lots of laughter and fun.

Join the Telemark Husky Tour on a dog sled tour and feel the adrenaline. Merete and Espen and the dogs are ready to take you on a very fun and cozy nature experience. And the dogs also think this is a lot of fun, they have a great time!
