Scenic and Easy Hike Around Kovstulvann

Enjoy an idyllic and accessible 4 km circular trail around the beautiful Kovstulvann, perfect for families and nature lovers.

Universally Accessible

This scenic trail is designed for walkers, cyclists, strollers, and wheelchairs, offering a smooth and enjoyable outdoor experience in stunning surroundings.

Starting Points & Parking

You can start the hike from the creek/ski trail junction on the south side of Kovstul & Tuddal Høyfjellshotell.

Parking is available along the road before the hotel junction and at the Kjæringsteinen parking area.

Rest Areas, Shelters & Fishing Spots

Around Kovstulvann, you’ll find several rest areas and scenic viewpoints. On the west side of the trail, enjoy a breathtaking view of Gaustaknærne.

On the north side of the lake, a shelter and an accessible fishing spot, donated by Utmarkslaget, provide a great place to relax. Here, you can grill your packed food or try your luck fishing in a peaceful setting.

In the winter season, ski trails are groomed around the Kjerringstein Trail.
