Seljord Hotel a unique hotel from 1857
In the sea serpent kingdom of the sea serpent Selma you will find the unique Seljord Hotel. A venerable wooden hotel built in Swiss style with a history as far back as 1857. The hotel is known for its hospitable and pleasant atmosphere.
Rooms and common areas
The hotel has a total of 25 rooms, of which 21 are double rooms, 1 single room and 3 family rooms. All rooms are equipped with shower / wc and tv. All prices include a delicious breakfast buffet as well as coffee / tea in the reception area.
Four of the hotel's rooms also have a private balcony.
All rooms at Seljord Hotel have a name associated with a local history. For example, room 306 has the name "sea serpent Selma" room.
When you do not want to spend time in your room, there are seating options in the hotel's own library and bar area or in the reception area.
The Hotel is open all year rund except Christmas, New Year and Easter

Location
The hotel is centrally located in Seljord which is an excellent starting point for exploring the region of Telemark.
It is a short distance to the bus station which is a hub for express buses that ensure good communication to Oslo, Bergen, Grenland and the international airport Torp.
By car there are good connections to Seljord via the E134 which runs through the city and is a natural artery between East and West Norway.

There are many great sights you can visit in the vicinity of Seljord, such as: the seserpent tower "Sjøormtårnet", Dyrsku`plassen, beautiful summit hikes with a marked trail to the wreckage at Skorve, Mythical Telemark and art and culture.

Meeting and conference
The hotel also has two meeting rooms, one of which is located in the basement with room for 30 people. Meeting room no. 2 consists of the Dining Room and has room for max. 40 people.
