Alternative Routes in the Veneli Area
Looking for a longer challenge? The area is well-signposted and marked with the classic Norwegian red "T"s, offering several options:
Venelifjell Around (6.9 km): A moderate loop (blue-graded) that takes approximately 4.5 hours.
Venelifjell via Tjørnstøyl (7.2 km): A more demanding route (red-graded) for experienced hikers, with an estimated duration of 5 hours.
To preserve "The Beautiful Mountain" for the future, we encourage all visitors to practice responsible hiking:
Follow route RV41 to Flaten (2.3 km south of Straand), turn left at the sign for “Venelifjell”. Then follow the private road for 1.5 km until you reach the toll box.
