About

Folkestadåsane is the name of the low hills between Folkestad and Hørteelva. The hills have pine trees, flat mountain terrain, large marshes and two beautiful lakes. The altitude difference is quite small. These hikes compliment the terrain that is a great hiking experience for people of all ages. The area is easy accesible by foot, bicycle or bus. Short way from Bø centre.

The road to the parking lot

The distance from Bø centre (roundabout) is approximately 4.9 km to parking near Telemarkshallen, and 3.9 km to Mogan. Follow the Folkestad road to Notodden forst – towards the north. After 3.5 km near the exit to Hellestad Sandak, you need to choose between the two parking lots. Parking at Mogan on your right, or straight ahead to Telemarkshallen (100 metres past the hall itself).
