Easy to reach

Lifjell offers a true mountain experience within easy reach of Eastern Norway. It is also conveniently located for visitors arriving by ferry from Denmark, just 90 kilometers from Larvik, with most of the drive through lowland terrain.

Safe and family-friendly

Lifjell may not be the largest ski resort, but it offers varied, family-friendly skiing for all ability levels. The ski area is easy to navigate, making it easier for families to enjoy the slopes together. Vinterland is particularly well suited to beginners and younger children.

Snow-sure mountain terrain

Lifjell has more than 20 peaks rising above 1,100 meters, with the highest reaching almost 1,300 meters above sea level.

If you prefer peaceful surroundings, snow-covered peaks and time in the mountains, take the nine-kilometer ski trip from Jønnbu to Hollane. Here, you can stop for a freshly made waffle or a bowl of hot soup surrounded by the winter landscape.

You can also travel to Hollane by Snowcat (Weasel) – a different and memorable way to experience the mountains.
