Sommarsesongen 2026 blir det ny salsutstilling på Kviteseid bygdetun. Anders Kvåle Rue syner historiske illustrasjonar i galleriet.
Anders Kvåle Rue (f. 1965) starta som teikneserieskapar på 1980-talet. Mange vil hugse «Sjøormen Sjur» som gjekk i Vest-Telemark Blad frå 1982 og som han fekk Kulturdepartementets teikneseriepris for. Han har teikna for Norsk Barneblad (m.a. «Tuss og Troll») og illustrert ei rekkje ulike seriar og bøkar.
I seinare tid har han vore mest kjend for sine nøyaktige og realistiske illustrasjonar til norsk vikingtid, m.a. i gjenfortellinga av «Heimskringla» (2002) og ikkje minst til den nye norske oversettinga av sagaverket «Flatøyboka» (2014-19).
Utstillinga viser illustrasjonar til ulike historiske periodar, som vil vere til sals.
Utstillinga er tilgjengeleg i opningstida til Kviteseid bygdetun.
