About

Støle church was built in 1892. At that time the church was called Levangsheiens chapel. Around 1935 the church went through a extensive restoration and got painted inside. For the 50th anniversary in 1942, the church got stained glass with paintings and other decorations. A crystal chandelier from the Oslo castle was mounted in the church simultaneously. The church was restored both inside and outside, to a great extent by volunteers funds and voluntarily, in the early 1980s. Some exterior paint was done by volunteers in the late 1990s. Outside areas are upgraded by volunteers and funded by the parish council in 2003, along with a handicap ramp.

Access:
Ca. 15min. from Kragerø center by ferry and car, or approximately 20min. by car from the E-18 in Sannidal and Søndeled Aust Agder.
Nice trails starting at the Kragerø Resort on Stabbestadveien to the church or 7-8 min. by car.
