About

On Edge - The Norwegian Philosophy Festival in Kragerø takes place annually in the month end May-June, with different main theme each year.

The purpose is both to spread knowledge about and interest in philosophy as a discipline and to contribute to more and deeper reflection on important social issues and ethical issues in the public and private space by pulling insights and approaches from other disciplines.

The festival helps to create activity in the local community at a time when there is otherwise little activity in Kragerø. On Edge wants to adopt and develop the potential that exists in the local community also outside the summer season, and the festival has been placed in the spring. The festival takes place at several venues in Kragerø.

On Edge takes place in Kragerø in town and in the archipelago, on the edge between mainland and sea.
