Type: Loop hike / Forest trail
Season: Year-round (when snow conditions allow)
Suitable for: Everyone – family friendly
The 6 km loop around Tinnemyra offers a peaceful hike through the scenic pine forests of Eastern Telemark. This route is perfect if the short 2 km trail around the lake feels too easy, but you still want a comfortable, family-friendly hike.
Starting from the main parking area, the loop takes you past Grotbekktjønn and returns along the eastern side of Tinnemyra. Along the way, you’ll walk past small hills, open clearings, and quiet forest areas – with benches placed along the trail for rest breaks.
This hike can be done year-round, but in winter, the trail is best when snow levels are low.
Practice Leave No Trace principles: Stick to marked trails, take all litter home, respect wildlife and local rules, and avoid damaging vegetation.
