Lunde Vandrerhjem has 24 large rooms and is idyllically located with a nice view in a rural setting by the Telemark Canal right in the heart of Telemark. The area is popular for holidaymakers in southern Norway and Telemark with proximity to a number of attractions and accessible nature for walking and cycling.

Location by Lunde center
Lunde Hostel is centrally located with a short walk to the center of Lunde. Here you will find shops, restaurants, fitness center m.m. as well as the train station for Sørlandsbanen and the bus. Here is also the Lunde lock in the Telemark Canal, the lock amphitheater, bathing places and hiking trail along the canal.

The rooms
The hostel has 24 large rooms that can accommodate up to 6 people. All rooms have a private bathroom with toilet and kitchenette.
In total, there is room for 80 guests at the hostel. Guests have access to a large, fully equipped communal kitchen.
From April to October, guests can order breakfast and packed lunches.
You can rent bed linen and towels at the hostel, but guests can also bring their own.

Free parking and wheelchair accessible
Lunde Hostel is built on a flat with threshold-free doors. All doors are wide enough for wheelchairs to pass through. One room has HC toilet. Outside there is access to a terrace with access via wheelchair ramp. Parking space right outside the main entrance provides easy access.

Pets allowed
Dogs and other pets are welcome at the hostel for a fee.

Party / meeting room
The large living room at Lunde Vanderhjem is rented out for parties, confirmations and others.
The room can also be used as a meeting room. Canvas and projector are available.

Active holiday for children and adults at Lunde
It is a short distance to several attractions in the region such as the Telemark Canal, Bø Sommarland, the fruite valley "Fruktbydga" and the Norsjø Wakeboard Park. Lunde is a nice place for active holidays with varied hiking terrain, marked cycling routes and kayaking. You can rent bikes, kayaks and canoes at First Camp Lunde - Telemark.
In the summer we have popular outdoor activities such as darts and trampoline at the Lunde Hostel.

    How to get to Lunde Hostel Lunde is located in the middle of Telemark along the national cycle route no. 2, Kanalruta. You come here by train on the Sørlandsbanen from Oslo and Kristiansand. If you travel by bus, Bø, Skien and Porsgrunn are the nearest larger places. By car the distance is: from Oslo - 2:30 hours / from Torp - 1:30 hours / from Langesund - 1:15 hours / from Larvik - 1:30 hours / from Kristiansand - 2:45 hours
