About

M/S Telemarken was built at Västerviks new varv in Sweden in 1951 and was one of the boats in the Stockholm archipelago. The boat's first name was M/S Freja and was eventually renamed to M/S Karson. In 1988 the boat was put into operation on the Telemark Canal with the name M/S Telemarken, after one of the former canal boats. The boat is 26 m long, 5.6 m wide and 1.6 m deep ball. M/S Telemarken can take 140 passengers and operates on a fixed route between Akkerhaugen and Lunde. The boat is owned by Telemark AS and Norsjø Hotel. In 2013 is M/S Telemarken on the route between Akkerhaugen and Lunde from 15 June to 11 August. The boat also takes charter missions.
