Langesund is one of the coastal towns of Grenland ( Skien,Porsgrunn, Bamble and Siljan) with beautiful coastline. You can hike and cycle along the coastal path. Nice scenery as leafy forests, sheer mountain faces and nice viewpoints.
Upon arrival at Langesund short distances to the two major cities in Telemark, Skien and Porsgrunn. In Skien starts the Telemark Canal and the first 2 locks is located in Skien. Here are the childhood home of Henrik Ibsen, Brekkeparken with its beautiful flowers flora and Søndre Brekke mansion. Spend a few days in Grenland and use this as a starting point for day visits to the rest of Telemark.
