About

Telnessanden Camping and outdoor center is located in beautiful surroundings at the southeast end of Seljordsvatnet.. Here you will find two large sandy beaches on either side of the road out to the Telnes peninsula. At Telnessanden there are many leisure activities, both water activities and on land.

The campsite has many drop-in pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans and offers year-round pitches with electricity and modern service facilities.
Telnessanden stretches out on the peninsula with rocky cliffs, smaller swimming beaches, walking trails and great viewpoints. The secret sea snake cave is also located here.

Great beaches with extra warm bathing water
When the weather is nice, it quickly becomes a southern atmosphere on the bathing beaches. The two beautiful, public bathing beaches are located opposite each other. The beach with an onshore wind gets the warmest water possible under the prevailing weather conditions. Telnessanden camping can therefore guarantee the best bathing temperatures in the region regardless of wind direction due to its location. The sand on the beaches is of the finest quality, namely scouring sand from the Ice Age. This makes the sand perfect for building sand castles. At Telnessanden Camping, they therefore organize popular sandcastle competitions.

Canoe and boat hire for a trip to the Sea serpaent cave
If you want to go out on the lake Seljordsvatnet, you can hire canoes, windsurfing boards and boats. This is a popular offer. You can also join a guided canoe trip around the peninsula to the secret Sea serpent cave, a natural cave out on the Telnes peninsula that is not accessible from land. If you join to see if the sea snake is there, you will encounter the cave, which is 15 meters deep and dark, you look into pitch darkness. Several children have seen both yellow, green and blue eyes staring in there.

If you want to try your luck at fishing, trout fishing is recommended. You can buy fishing licenses at the kiosk.

Popular summer activities at Telnessanden camping
The holiday is extra nice when the place you are at has many, nice activities. At Telnessanden camping, you can play mini golf, go to the playground, bounce and jump on the trampoline, play football on the football pitch and go on beautiful hiking trails. Activity leaders make sure that everyone gets to join in and has fun. Badminton and beach volleyball are popular on the beach. The volleyball court is out in the water and makes playing extra fun.
The kiosk and fast food is a meeting place for lunch and dinner. If you want to cook yourself, Telnessanden has a well-equipped grocery store.

Service facility and handicap room
The sanitary facilities have a high standard. Here you will also find a separate room adapted for people with disabilities.

The laundry room has both a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

The entire Telnessanden campsite has wireless internet.
